Pregnancy is not just a clinical event—it is a profound physical, emotional, and relational experience.
The way care is provided matters. It shapes how you feel in your body, how you make decisions, and how you carry this experience with you long after your baby is born.
At Lux Midwifery, care is designed to be thorough, unhurried, and relationship-based.
You will not be rushed through appointments. You will not be treated like a number or a checklist. Instead, care is built around time, attention, and trust—so that we can understand your health in context, not just in snapshots.
This model allows space for real conversation, thoughtful clinical care, and individualized support. It creates the conditions for early recognition of changes, deeper understanding of your needs, and more informed, confident decision-making throughout your pregnancy.
You are not expected to navigate this alone.
You are supported, informed, and known here.

Extras for a more comfortable birth experience
Enhance Your Care
Prenatal care at Lux includes more than appointments alone. Clients have access to additional resources designed to support preparation, reflection, and deeper connection throughout pregnancy. This includes access to immersive meditation rooms, an art therapy room, my curated library of trusted information, and birth planning templates with clear explainers for you and your partner or family.
Clients also receive access to my private quarterly birth preparation and breastfeeding preparation classes, offered exclusively for VIP Lux clients. These resources are meant to help you feel more informed, more supported, and more fully prepared as you move toward birth and early postpartum.

Prenatal Support
Prenatal care at Lux Midwifery is structured to be personal, consistent, and deeply supportive. Care unfolds over time, with visits spaced throughout pregnancy and becoming more frequent as birth gets closer. This gives us room to build real trust, stay grounded in what is happening with your body and your baby, and prepare intentionally for labor, birth, and postpartum.
Lux is especially shaped for people seeking care that feels affirming, respectful, and culturally attuned. I know that for many families of color, queer families, and others who have not always felt fully seen in healthcare spaces, the relationship with your midwife and care team matters just as much as the clinical care itself. I believe you deserve both excellent clinical care and a care experience where you feel fully seen. I make space for all of that…and all of you.

Birth Support
Care at Lux Midwifery includes continuous midwifery support through labor, birth, and the postpartum period. We come to your home while you are in active labor and will monitor you and your baby’s vitals, track your labor progress, and provide you with care to meet your needs as you give birth. In your time of transition, you’ll have the care and support of two midwives to support you and your baby’s overall well-being.

Postpartum Support
Postpartum care at Lux Midwifery is designed to support a gentle and well-held transition after birth. In the first hours after your baby is born, we remain in your home to care for both you and your baby. We help get you cleaned up, settled, and tucked into bed, take care of birth laundry and immediate cleanup, and make sure the space is calm so you can begin resting and bonding.
During that time, both you and your baby are carefully assessed to ensure you are stable and recovering well. We also focus on supporting your recovery as a whole person, with guidance on nourishment, rest, infant feeding, and how to care for your recovering body in the days and weeks after birth.
Follow-up care includes home visits at 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week, and 2 weeks postpartum, with your 6 week visit taking place in the office. Lactation and feeding support visits are included as needed, so you have continued support as questions, needs, or challenges come up.
